Fernando Mejia is an award winning journalist an television producer with more than 35 years of experience in the field of broadcasting. He recently is the senior video journalist for Telemundo 39 in Dallas, Texas.

His versatility as a photographer, editor, writer and on-camera talent has earned him numeros recognitions including 14 emmy awards by the National Asociation of Television Arts and Sciences and a Golden Mike award by the Televison Asociation of Southern California.

Fernando Mejia has covered a wide array of international events of historic proportions throughout his career. Some of those events include the Iraq war, The fall of the Berlin wall, Olimpic games and Soccer World Cups.

Fernando Mejia moved to Texas in 2009, he is in charge of the video journalist program at Telemundo Dallas making KXTX-39 the first station to operate VJ's.

Since then he has been training multimedia journalist (MMJ) around the country.

He is a part of the Telemundo University faculty member collaborating with the training of new MMJ's in different Universities including the University of Texas Arlington and the University of Florida.

He also is very active in different news organizations giving different workshops on how to write, shoot and editing a story.
